Text can then be dragged around the screen as necessary. Any formatting needed can be done to the first text box and will then be applied to all new text boxes - with the exception of colours. Activities set up like this can range from individual letters or phonic patterns being dragged together to make words, broken sentences being put together or whole sentences being re-ordered for any of a variety of sequencing activities in any subject. The same technique can be used for dragging numbers into place in a similarly wide range of numeracy activities - number lines, missing numbers, number sentences etc. Also dragging words, numbers or punctuation into gaps in exisiting sentences, number lines etc. A useful tip is to give the children somewhere to drag the text to - either a simple line, a box or a series of boxes or bullet points.
